What is the PM Surya Ghar Yojana solar subsidy?

The MNRE (Ministry of New & Renewable Energy) solar subsidy scheme, run through the PM Surya Ghar Yojana and your local DISCOM, gives a direct capital subsidy of 40% up to 3 kW plus 20% for the remaining capacity up to 10 kW, for the domestic sector in general category states — paid straight into your bank account after installation.
